Displaying PowerPoint Or Slides In Your Conference
There are two ways you can display your PowerPoint presentations in the conference room.
First method
In PowerPoint, go to File, Save As Web Page. PowerPoint will create your presentation with all the necessary web pages and files.
Save it to a place on your desktop. Once created you will see two things. A .htm page and a folder containing all the necessary items to display your presentation. Eg. If your presentation name is Sales then you'll see a sales.htm and a sales_files.
Upload these two items to your web site. Log into your conference room and simply enter the URL to sales.htm in the browser. When you're ready to present, hit the 'Follow Me' button to sync up everyone in the room. The first sync may experience a delay depending how graphic heavy your presentation is and how many people are in the room.
Simply advance the slides as you go along and everyone in the room should see the same slide you are on.
Second Method
This takes a whole lot more work and experience with creating web pages. Here's how you do it.
Instead of saving as web page, in PowerPoint, go to File >> Save As and in the Save As Type, select an image like .jpg or .png or .gif.
PowerPoint will ask if you want to save one or all. Select your choice and where you want to save it to on your hard drive.
You will then need to open your favorite HTML editor or a program like FrontPage to manually create a page for each slide and put the image of the slide into the page.
Once you finish with all your slides, upload your HTML pages and image files to your web host. Load the URL to your web pages in the browser and hit the Synchronize button when you're ready to present.
As you can see this is the most difficult method but this method allows a 'full screen' look, where people can't see the links to the next slide.
If you need someone to do these for you, please send us a ticket and we'll be happy to refer someone to you.
*We strongly recommend you to do a dry run of your presentation before the real event so you will have a smooth, professional presentation
