Here's what you can try.
- When installing turn off any firewall first. You can turn it off after the software is installed and running.
- If you're using Windows XP and a third party firewall make sure you have Window's built in Firewall turned off as well. You can do this by going to Start >> Control Panel >> Windows Security Center
- If you use Norton, customers have reported even though they turned it off, there was still a "Internet Worm Protection" from Norton that remains enabled. Once they disabled that, they managed to install and run the software without problems.
